In 2013, as brand new parents, we went searching for the ideal Montessori environment for our one-year-old daughter, Matilda.

Like many young families we were seeking child care that aligned with our holistic approach to parenting - one that emphasized social and emotional well-being, respect for the child, and gentle discipline.

We quickly realized, however, there were no Montessori programs in our area that served children under three years old.

From this need, the Liberated Montessori House was born. Our school was first established as a licensed in-home Montessori preschool.

We started small in our Little Forest Hills home, but as word spread and our waiting list grew, we moved to a larger space to accommodate more students. In 2018, we transitioned to a renovated building on Garland Road, launching Liberated Children's House - Montessori Preschool. This new space enabled us to serve up to 80 children, from six weeks to six years old, with authentic Montessori care and education.

After more than 10 successful years in the White Rock area, we expanded to reach more families. In August 2023, we proudly opened our second location, this time in Oak Cliff,  where we welcomed over 100 new children and families into our community.  In April 2025, we opened an additional campus in San Antonio

We now have three children all being lovingly raised in Montessori environments.
